How are we on happy things number 30 already?! That’s a whole lot of happy things and it still remains my favourite blog series I’ve ever started. And it’s so awesome to see others participate in it too! With the awesome happiness link up. I’m cohosting this week with the awesome Little Miss Katy, so do make sure that you check out her Little Happy Mondays – one of my overall favourites. Stick around until the end of the post to add in your link and get reading!
1 Tower Bridge
I do my training for work just over Tower Bridge and I always enjoy my time out that way. The bridge and view from walking from London Bridge station is always my favourite. Probably some of my favourite snaps of London and it totally reminds me how awesome it is to live in London.
2 Bon Voyage Charlie!
The lovely Charlie is heading off on what sounds like the most awesome of trips for the next three months. So we had a bit of a bangarang catch up and headed to Dirty Bones. Not only was it awesome to see all of the girls and have a good catch up, but I haven’t really been to Kingly Court before. Other than Cahoots, I always think the restaurants in there look awesome so fab to tick one off my list. Plus £5 cocktails before 7! Look out for it in my foodie highlights coming later in the month.
3 Fresh flowers
It is finally feeling a little bit like Spring right?! Although the days are still a bit chilly, I am loving the lighter mornings and evenings. I feel like I’m starting to come out of hibernation. To celebrate I have been buying some fresh blooms as you can get such lovely flowers from the supermarket for like £3. I love having some fresh flowers in the flat to help it feel lighter and brighter. Now just bring on the sunshine!
4 Blogging Stats
I know that stats are totally not something which you should focus on, and I usually don’t. But I’ve had a couple of posts picked up on things like pinterest, reddit and stumble upon and it is pretty awesome to see a big traffic spike. If only traffic was like that everyday hey. But gotta blog cause you love it at the end of the day!
5 Avocado at Chipotle
I’m not gonna lie, I love me some Chipotle. On Monday I headed down with Emma and Ashleigh for a little Chipotle blogger evening. Not only did I get my fave burrito bowl, but they literally made guacomole with 47 avocados. 47. avocados. I died and went to guac heaven. I probably ate my body weight in avocado but man, it was so good. So. Good.
6 Spring feelings!
We finally got out for our first bike ride of the year and it was glorious to be out there in the sunshine. Although we still needed our coats on, it was really pleasant and we even managed to sit outside for our lunch at the pub! I’ve definitely lost some fitness since my last time on the bike last year, but I still managed the whole route and can’t wait to go out and about again.
7 Dot to Dot and a wee bit of shopping
On Sunday, very unlike me, but we headed out for a little bit of shopping! I picked up a dot to dot book from W H Smiths which I’m rather smitten with. I used to love dot to dots when I was younger and this is even better. I also picked up a couple of navy dresses which I’ll try and pop into an outfit post soon!
8 Pulled Pork
Along with a bit of shopping on Sunday, I finally got into gear and cooked a giant pork shoulder. I always mean to bulk cook something on Sunday but rarely get around to it. This pork was so good and I served it up with some black beans, sweet potato and sour cream – amazing!
I’m usually a super non paper fan. I do all my work on my laptop and prefer not to use notebooks. However, studying is a totally different ball game. I love me some notebooks, diaries and other bits and bobs to keep track of where I’m up to and take all my notes. I had a little splurge and ordered a couple of bits from Kikki K. I love the little diary to start planning my exam dates then got tempted by the gratitude diary. Although these posts are like a little gratitude diary in themselves, I wanted something physical to write in each evening. This has space for 3 things a day to pop in and I’ve been loving it so far.
